Case and connectivity in Moksha relative clauses

This study provides a detailed investigation of relative clauses in Moksha Mordvin. It shows that raising derivation is part of natural language syntax and must co-exist with head-external derivation. I then propose that raising syntax is best derived by projecting movement of the head noun phrase.
