Heritage languages and syntactic theory. An introduction
Roberta D'Alessandro, Putnam Michael T., Silvia Terenghi
November 2023

This is the introductory chapter of the volume Heritage Languages and Syntactic Theory, to appear with Oxford University Press. In this intro, we highlight the main open questions that HL syntax is investigating, and show how the study of heritage languages can contribute to a better understanding of how language works. The intro also contains short summaries of the chapters. The volume will appear with OUP in 2024, in Open Access.
