Unbounded spreading in Harmonic Grammar with gradient representations

This paper presents an initial analysis of unbounded spreading in Harmonic Grammar as the redistribution of gradient activity. We demonstrate that the model accounts for local (=myopic) blocking effects, is consistent with parallel and serial frameworks, and can be expanded to attested model non-myopic effects in Tutrugbu.
